RACE for the Future: Using agriculture to bring STEM to life Teachers Professional Development Workshop
To support the implementation of the developed learning modules in the classroom and increase teacher knowledge of educational and career pathways in the food and fibre sector, one-day workshops will be held in 2021-2023.
The workshop will be free of charge and will include visits to a food and fibre business within Gippsland to give educators first-hand experience on-farm or within a manufacturing/processing plant.
In 2021 the PD workshops will include a one-day agricultural industry workshop and tour and two webinar sessions on the Traceability of Gippsland Produce learning module.
Teachers will be reimbursed with a $200 subsidy towards the costs of a relief teacher after attendance at the industry tour.
The Traceability of Gippsland Produce learning module webinars will be held on:
7th October 3.45pm-4.30pm
