STEM, Food and Fibre Teachers PD Workshop

RACE for the Future: Using agriculture to bring STEM to life Teachers Professional Development Workshop

To support the implementation of the developed learning modules in the classroom and increase teacher knowledge of educational and career pathways in the food and fibre sector, one-day workshops will be held in 2021-2023.

The workshop will be free of charge and will include visits to a food and fibre business within Gippsland to give educators first-hand experience on-farm or within a manufacturing/processing plant.

In 2022 the PD workshops will include a one-day agricultural industry workshop and tour. We are also offering KLA group teacher PD workshops that can be delivered in school at usual KLA meeting times

Teachers will be reimbursed with a $200 subsidy towards the costs of a relief teacher after attendance at the industry tour.
